I love this family
It was time for their next child’s one year session and even though they had moved nearly two hours away in Texas, this lovely family wanted their precious girls’ images produced again by Bart Leger Photography. This session included one more girl since the last session. That’s right…another addition to the family. We recreated the last daughter’s one year portrait on our rare, painted carousel horse in our studio. We also did individual color studies on the rest of the girls as well. Here are a few of their images.

The second time was a charm
Not everything goes as planned. We were reminded of that when the day came for this senior’s scheduled portrait session. April in south Louisiana can be fairly unpredictable.
We were having great weather, that is up until the day of the shoot. A cold front had come through and the temperatures dipped into the mid 40′s and the wind was blowing about 20 miles an hour. But we showed up anyway. After only about 10 minutes we realized that everyone was uncomfortable, especially our senior.
So… we did what we had to. We rescheduled.
The second time out we had great weather and we produced some nice images for this lovely senior. Here are just a few…
She was thrilled with her images and so were we. We just love working with seniors.

Rust is in
At least it was for Marlie’s senior portraits. We had a great time with this senior creating her images. The camera loved her and I believe she had a great time also. At least that’s what she said after we were done. Music to my ears. We love it when seniors get great images and enjoy the experience as well. Here are a few images from her session.

What a precious little one
Recently we had the joy of creating images of this little guy and his dad. We love marking milestones and showing relationships. The first image from the session is a Black and White study. He did a great job for the camera.
His dad is a physician so we did some with his dad’s books and then one with his dad to show the relationship. Here’s the little future doctor.
It is so wonderful to capture these relationship moments with our clients.

Here’s a few images from a fun outdoor session with a lovely young woman we created near our studio. We had just left another on-location spot and stopped at this nearby farm and grabbed a few shots near one of the rice dryers. It was getting late and we were well past the golden hour around sunset. I just love it when mom’s have a sense of style and the little ones pull it off with attitude and have fun. Such was the case with one of our favorite clients for little Bethany’s 9 month session.
We have been working with Bethany since she was a newborn and this session was extremely fun and enjoyable and we always love it when mom and dad get super excited over their images in print.
Here are a couple of storyboards from this session.
What character. We are definitely looking forward to her one-year-old portrait session.
